Cabinet Secretary Consultations With Ambassadors, High Commissioners Heads Of International Financial Institutions On Refugee Situation In Kenya

CS for Interior hosted a consultative forum with ambassadors, high commissioners, and leaders of international organizations to discuss the refugee situation in Kenya. With the increasing number of refugees in the Kakuma and Daadab camps, it is crucial to establish a clear and sustainable financing model to implement the Shirika Plan. This plan aims to transform the refugee camps into integrated living environments that promote self-reliance and integration through social and economic initiatives. The foundations of the plan are built on several pillars: systems building, integrated services, human capital and skills development, climate action, and sustainable economic growth.
